As an artistic administrator, Travis is currently the Director of Operations and project manager for the Miami Classical Music Festival, Marketing and Social Media Director for the Ekklésia Reed Quintet, Music Librarian for both the Cleveland Winds and Cleveland State University Wind Ensemble. In the past he has served as the assistant to the Chair of Fine Arts at Barry University for several years. As a musician, Mr. Hogue-Smith is the Bass Clarinetist for Ohio's first professional reed quintet, the Ekklésia Reed Quintet, and a member of the award winning Cleveland Winds professional wind band ensemble. He has been a guest performer with the Cleveland Women's Orchestra, The Cleveland Opera, and the South Beach Chamber Ensemble orchestra. ​Travis is currently a member of Bobby Davis’ clarinet studio seeking an Artist Diploma from the Cleveland State School of Music. He received his master’s of music degree from Cleveland State University and his Bachelor of Music Degree from Barry University in Miami Florida. His previous teachers have included Dr. Ellen Breakfield-Glick, Dr. Matthew Taylor, and Philip May.
