Valentine Umeh is a Nigerian-Boston based Tenor. He is a current third year student at the New England Conservatory, where he studies Voice and Opera with Jane Eaglen. He has featured in productions in his home country, which includes full productions of Cavalleria Rusticana, Trial by Jury with the Muson Opera Company. At the New England Conservatory, he has featured in scenes from different operas, full opera productions in both the undergraduate and graduate school.
During the summer of 2025, he was among the opera conservatory artist at the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory, under the leadership of Denyce Graves Montgomery and Jonathan Beyer. He played the role of Basilio and Don Curzio, in the full production of Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, A chorus member in the premier of Missy Mazzoli's New Opera "LIncoln in the Bardo and La Vida Breve by Falla Manuel.
He is currently with the Denyce Graves Foundation Shared Voices Program. With this program, he will be featured in concerts across the United States.
