Victoria recently produced and performed in her 4th Annual Recital for Refugees in NYC alongside 6 incredible musicians, which raised over $6,600 the International Rescue Committee. In 2020, she also placed first in her division for the North International Music Competition online and completed her residency with Finger Lakes Opera as a Tomita Young Artist.
Originally from a small town in Texas, Victoria Thomasch can now be found performing and teaching in New York City (online) and around the world (when not in quarantine). She recently produced and performed in her 4th Annual Recital for Refugees alongside 6 incredible musicians, which raised over $6,600 the International Rescue Committee. In 2020, she also placed first in her division for the North International Music Competition online and completed her residency with Finger Lakes Opera as a Tomita Young Artist. The season prior, she was awarded 2nd Place in the 16th Annual Elaine Malbin and Mario Lanza Competition and performed one of her favorite roles, Dorabella in Così fan tutte, twice: First in English with Amore Opera in NYC and then in Italian in Varna, Bulgaria. A few of her favorite experiences include singing in televised opera galas at Teatro Degollado in Guadalajara, performing the role of Mercédès in a cabaret version of Carmen in Berlin, and leading the National Anthem in Toronto for a Blue Jays baseball game. Additional roles include: the title role in Giulio Cesare, Dorabella (Così fan tutte,) Zweite Frau (Die Zauberflöte), Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro), Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), Dorothée (Cendrillon), Ottavia (L'incoronazione di Poppea), Oberon (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and Suora Infermiera (Suor Angelica).
