He made a name for himself in the choral community performing in masterworks with the Louisville Orchestra, most notably in his solo debut as the ‘Boy Soprano’ in their production of Bernstein’s Mass. Joseph obtained a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from the University of Kentucky (UK) under the tutelage of Dr. Elizabeth Arnold, and during his studies continued performing in choral masterworks such as Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Brahms’ Requiem, and Handel’s Messiah. Through productions with the UK Chorale and Symphony Orchestra, he was a featured soloist in Haydn’s Missa Brevis, Bach’s Magnificat, and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. He also performed in the ensemble for UK Opera Theatre’s productions of Verdi’s La traviata and Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. Joseph also participated in operatic training programs, including the Canto Vocal Program in Louisville, as well as making his role debut as ‘Endimione’ in Cavalli’s La Calisto at Red River Lyric Opera (RRLO). He made his return to RRLO in July 2022 to perform the title role in Handel’s Rinaldo. Joseph received a master’s degree in voice performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, studying under renowned soprano Dr. Kerry Deal.
