Qirong Liang, a passionate second-year graduate student from China, is deeply enthusiastic about classical vocal performance. She aspires to sing on bigger stages in the future. Currently pursuing her studies at the University of Michigan, she specializes in mezzo-soprano voice.

Qirong has achieved numerous accolades, including first place in the Advanced Classical Division at the 2022 National Student Showcase, Michigan Chapter. She also secured the Gold Prize in the Undergraduate Classical Vocal Division at the 7th Peacock Cup Higher Art Institutions Vocal Performance and Music Academy Exhibition, a Silver Prize in the Classical Vocal Division at the 5th Chengdu Golden Hibiscus Competition, and the Best Soprano Prize at the 6th Paul Cony Opera Vocal Competition. In 2021, she won the Gold Prize in the Vocal Category at the German Philharmonic Music Competition China Finals.

She has participated in six operas, taking on major roles such as Charlotte in "Werther," Orlofsky in "Die Fledermaus," the Third Lady in "The Magic Flute," and the Public Opinion in "Orpheus in the Underworld."

During the summer of 2023, she was a studio artist at the Aspen Music Festival and participated in multiple concerts and productions of two operas.
