I began playing at the age of 8 in San José, Costa Rica and was part of the pre-college program at the School of Music of the University of Costa Rica and studied with M.M Erasmo Solerti from ages 10 to 16. In 2014, I won 1st place at the University of Costa Rica Music competition and performed at the winner's recital. At age 17, i attended Interlochen Arts Academy with Mr. Paul Sonner on a merit scholarship graduated with a Fine Arts Award. I have attended Bowdoin International Music Festival, Curtis Summerfest, Brevard Music Center, Sewanee Summer Music Festival, and several others in and out of the country. I have been concertmaster of the Costa Rican Youth Symphony Orchestra, Interlochen Arts Academy Orchestra and Eastman School Orchestra. I have participated in masterclasses with Ray Chen, the Ying Quartet, Mark Holloway, the Catharsis Wind Quintet, Desireé Ruhstrat, Paul Kantor, Carolyn Huebl, and Lin He. Currently, I'm studying with Renee Jolles at the Eastman School of Music.
