Ye Lynn Han, tenor, is a doctoral candidate in Voice Performance Pedagogy, Performance, and Literature at James Madison University. Originally from Myanmar, he moved to the United States to become the first person from his country to pursue a career in opera. Known for the ease of his upper register, he frequently performs the most demanding music of Rossini, Donizetti and Bellini. He is also an avid performer of Lied, having performed most of the major song cycles of Schubert and Schumann. As a studio teacher and university instructor, he takes pride in nurturing the curiosity and talents of his students. He currently runs a studio of undergraduate and graduate musicians and teaches Diction for Singers at JMU, where he also performs frequently with the university Opera Theatre.
