Biography

Yi-Chun Sarah Tsai

Yi-Chun Sarah Tsai received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami in 2025, after completing her Master of Music degree at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) in 2021. She is an experienced performer in both opera and concert repertoire, with notable roles including Minskwoman in Dove’s Flight, Cherubino in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, The Mother in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, Serpina in Pergolesi’s La Serva Padrona, and Hänsel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel. Her performances have taken her to venues across the world, from South Florida to the Midwest, Boston to Berlin, and to Japan and Taiwan.

Originally from Taichung City, Taiwan, Sarah began her musical training at an early age—studying piano at four and voice at twelve. Since then, she has pursued her studies at leading music schools in Taiwan and the United States, building a career marked by artistry, versatility, and international reach.
