Yichen Xue, baritone, is a 2nd Year Marion Roose Pullin Studio Artist at Arizona Opera. In the 2025–26 season, he will sing Dandini in La Cenerentola, Prince Yamadori and cover Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, and reprise Prince Yamadori with Opera Grand Rapids. His Arizona Opera credits include Schaunard in La bohème, Nardo in La finta giardiniera, and cover Amonasro in Aida. This past summer, Yichen appeared at the Aspen Music Festival as a Renée Fleming Artist, performing Marcello in La bohème. He has also been a Studio Artist with Wolf Trap Opera. Yichen earned his degree from Manhattan School of Music and his master’s degree from Hunter College, where he studied with Ron Raines.
