Biography

Yujin Zeng

Ms. Zeng is a soprano currently based in New York City.

This season, she will appear as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni with Regina Opera. Previous roles include Violetta in La Traviata and Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor with Regina Opera and Juliette in Roméo et Juliette at Utah Valley Operafest, Musetta in La Bohème with New Jersey Lyric Opera.

She has portrayed La Princesse and Le Rossignol in Ravel’s L’enfant et les Sortilèges, Sorella Cercatrice II in Suor Angelica with the Chautauqua Opera Company and Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music, and Lu Mu-Zhen in Ro Huang’s Dr. Sun Yat-Sen with Mannes Opera. Ms. Zeng made her professional New York City debut as Adina in LElisir dAmore with Opera Camerata New Jersey.

Yujin holds her Professional Studies Certificate at the Manhattan School of Music, Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Mannes School of Music and Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice from Xinghai Conservatory of Music. She won Encouragement Award and the Elizabeth N. Colson Fund at the Opera Guild for Atlantas 6th Annual Scholarship Competition and was a finalist in the 2022 Premiere Opera Foundation International Vocal Competition
