Biography

Zane Brolin

Zane Brolin is a bass from Madison, Wisconsin, currently working on his B.M. in Vocal Performance (2027) from Oklahoma City University. He studies with mezzo-soprano Catherine McDaniel and coaches with Jan McDaniel. Zane's previous credits at OCU include Falstaff (Cover) in Nicolai's Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor, W.J. Bryan in Moore's The Ballad of Baby Doe, and Simone in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi. In the summer of 2025, Zane attended Chicago Summer Opera and appeared as Sarastro in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, and had the privilege of studying with Allan Glassman. 

Zane is a regular competitor at the district level of Oklahoma's National Teachers of Singing (NATS) and has received 1st and 3rd place honors in 2024 and 2025, respectively. 

In his free time, Zane loves writing short stories and sketch comedy, and reading anything by George Saunders.
