Avery Winick
Avery Winick is a graduate of Northwestern University with her Masters in Voice and Opera. Winick received her Bachelor in Music in 2022. Winick performed in a multitude of roles, such as “Die Hexe” in Hänsel und Gretel, “Dritte Dame” in Die Zauberflöte, and the midwestern premier as “Leona’s Mother” in In a Grove by Christopher Cerrone. Winick had the opportunities to sing “Meg” in Falstaff, “Zita” in Gianni Schicchi, “Tisbe” in La Cenerentola, and “La Principessa” in Suor Angelica.

Biography

Avery Winick

Avery Winick is a graduate of Northwestern University with her Masters in Voice and Opera. Winick received her Bachelor in Music from Northwestern University in 2022 with a double major in Vocal Performance and Arts Administration. Under the guidance of Pamela Hinchman, Winick performed in a multitude of roles, such as “Die Hexe” in Hänsel und Gretel, “Dritte Dame” in Die Zauberflöte, and the midwestern premier as “Leona’s Mother” in In a Grove by Christopher Cerrone. Outside of the University, Winick had the opportunities to sing “Meg” in Falstaff, “Zita” in Gianni Schicchi, “Tisbe” in La Cenerentola, and “La Principessa” in Suor Angelica with the La Musica Lirica program. During her undergraduate years Winick was given “Honorable Mention” for the finals of NATS in both 2019 and 2020, with a brief pause during COVID-19. She has recently placed Semi-finalist with the Premiere Foundation Opera International Competition, as well as 2nd place for the Sinfonietta Bel Canto Competition. She is a proud alumni of Sigma Alpha Iota and was the conductor during her senior year, as well as a holder of other titled positions. Winick's most current role was as “Zita” in Gianni Schicchi with the premiere year of Netherlands Opera Lyric Festival program. She is currently returning to Peach State Opera as "Die Hexe" in their production of Hänsel und Gretel in 2026.
