Gregory Sliskovich, tenor, has been recognized nationally for his “crisp timing and a keen sense of physical humor,” along with a “bright,” “flexible,” and “meaty” voice. He has recently been seen as Dr. Blind in Die Fledermaus with Opera Theater of St. Louis, Arturo and Normanno in Lucia di Lammermoor with Nashville Opera, and Justice Antonin Scalia in Scalia/Ginsburg with Fargo-Moorhead Opera. Other roles performed include Borsa (Rigoletto), Le Remendado (Carmen), Frederic (Pirates of Penzance), Pang (Turandot), Gherardo (Gianni Schicchi), Bardolfo (Falstaff), Nicely-Nicely Johnson (Guys and Dolls), Njegus (The Merry Widow), Little Bat (Susannah), Monostatos (Die Zauberflöte), Basilio (Le nozze di Figaro), Sheldon Segal (Later the Same Evening), Lyric Tenor (Postcard from Morocco), and Max Detweiler (The Sound of Music). He has participated in young artist programs with Opera Theater of St. Louis, Brevard Music Center’s Janiec Opera Company, Opera in the Ozarks, Sarasota Opera, Charlottesville Opera, Nashville Opera, and Fargo-Moorhead Opera. He has served as a featured soloist in works including The Verdi Requiem and The Mozart Requiem. His will next been seen as Nick in Nashville Opera’s production of La fanciulla del West.
