Olivia Corporon is originally from Port Orange, FL and currently studies with Routa Kroumovitch-Gomez at Stetson University, where she will graduate with her Bachelor of Music Performance in May of 2023. She plans to attend graduate school in the following semester. She has played the violin for about 11 years and currently holds the position of concertmaster with the university orchestras. She also performs regularly with Daytona Solisti Chamber Orchestra, as well as at First Pres in Deland.

Olivia Corporon started playing the violin at age eleven with Kendra Cochenour after being inspired by her father, Joseph, who plays cello in Daytona Solisti Chamber Orchestra. During high school she auditioned and won principal second chair in the top ensemble in Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras in Orlando, Florida under the baton of Mr. Hanrich Claassen. In 2017 she performed the first movement of J.S. Bach’s E major violin concerto with Solisti. After graduating from high school, she auditioned and was accepted at Stetson University, where she now studies with Professor Routa Kroumovitch-Gomez. Olivia is a senior violin performance major and in the future wants to have a job in an orchestra. She plays first violin in the Barron Quartet, is seated co-concertmaster with two other students in both Symphony and Chamber orchestra at Stetson, and is a member of the School of Music stage crew. She also teaches violin lessons through the Community School of Music. Aside from playing the violin, she enjoys composition and taking afternoon walks with the family dog, Layla.
