Nederlandse Reisoper

We tell stories. Big and small stories, about love and sorrow, about joy and mourning. About everything human. We are the largest traveling opera company in the Netherlands. For more than 65 years it has been our passion to inspire as many people as possible with art and culture! We have been making opera productions in our home base in Enschede for more than 65 years and we travel throughout the Netherlands with them. We build the sets, make the costumes and wigs and rehearse with singers and orchestra. We make music theater with children and young people and have had our own Children's Choir since 2019. Soon you will read more on this page about the origins of Opera Forum, the transition to Nationale Reisopera and the relaunch and flourishing of the Reisopera in the period after 2013.
