Sohap Ensemble is a soprano-cello duo that collaborates with artists and composers on commissions, recordings, and intimate, out-of-the-box musical experiences. Made up of soprano Sabina Balsamo and cellist Chas Barnard, Sohap strives to connect with audiences through the performance of new and underrepresented chamber music in concert and educational outreach settings.

Description
Colorado Sky is a new opera inspired by the 2020 voter proposition to reintroduce wolves to the state. The plot follows a wolf cub named Sky who is learning to make friends and be himself in his new home. The opera premieres with Sohap Ensemble in collaboration with Art Song Colorado and Boulder Opera Company in June 2023.
