Directs marketing initiatives for “one of the most creative and ambitious companies in this country” (The New York Times). Primary duties encompass strategy, branding, advertising, digital marketing, audience research, and special events. Specific projects include: - Create production-specific marketing plans considering revenue goals, expenses, program content, target audiences, and research results. - management of two staff members, a full-time Manager of Audience Development and a freelance Graphic Designer - overseeing all advertising initiatives, including digital, radio, tv, print and OOH campaigns; - creating and implementing a targeted, multi-faceted email communications strategy; - writing marketing copy and managing the creation of print collateral, including direct mail campaigns; - launching and running VIVACE, Opera Philadelphia's community for young professionals; - conducting audience research efforts (survey implementation and analysis) - event management, including Opera on the Mall (one of the largest civic engagement events in Philadelphia); - building innovative partnerships across a diverse array of organizations, such as those with the Office of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Philly 360, the Philadelphia Film Society, Union League of Philadelphia, William Way Community Center, Yelp, Profile PR, and Old City District. - member of the newly-created Community Advisory Council
