Canadian mezzo-soprano Avanti Dey is highly coveted for both her vocal and dramatic range, and has performed the roles of Vitellia (La clemenza di Tito), Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte), Bradamante (Alcina), and Sesto (Giulio Cesare). Recent highlights include Brittomara in Jake Heggie’s If I Were You with Nightingale Opera Theater, and covering Marcellina and Cherubino in Mozart’s 'Le nozze di Figaro' with Opera San Jose. Avanti holds a PhD in Psychology and Neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis.
