Bethania Baray is a Mexican-American opera stage director. For the past five years, Bethania has served as the Director of Opera and Vocal Instructor at Arkansas State University (2014-2019). Most recently, Opera Memphis named Bethania the second recipient of the McCleave Fellowship in Directing where she is Assistant Director to all mainstage productions, director of smaller fringe operas, and director of special community projects.  This spring, Bethania will direct the Opera Memphis production of Mozart’s Bastien and Bastienne.

Bethania Baray

Bethania Baray is a Mexican-American opera stage director. For the past five years, Bethania has served as the Director of Opera and Vocal Instructor at Arkansas State University (2014-2019).
