Christian Luevano began his double bass studies at the age of 5 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. At the age of 7, he moved to Denton, Texas where he studied with Gudrun Raschen and Jeff Bradetich. He currently studies at the Curtis Institute of Music with Hal Robinson and Edgar Meyer. Christian has been a prize winner in competitions associated with the Philadelphia International Music Festival, Dallas Symphony, and Fort Worth Symphony. He recently participated in the New York String Orchestral Seminar, and was an Orchestral Leadership Fellow at the Aspen Music Festival this past summer. In 2022, Christian performed the world premiere of a concerto by renowned bassist and composer, Andres Martin, that was commissioned for him. Christian also enjoys spending time with friends and exercising.
