A lover of orchestral music, Ms. Knaub has appeared in various orchestras, including the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, York Youth Symphony Orchestra, York Junior Symphony Orchestra, and was a founding member of the Dover Community Orchestra in Pennsylvania. Elizabeth has also performed as a soloist with the York Youth Symphony Orchestra and appeared in Espejismos on Carlo Nicolau’s album Music for the Moving Imagination. In 2017, she performed in multiple cities throughout Argentina on tour with the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, including Buenos Aires, Parana, and Cordoba. An avid chamber musician, she enjoys playing string quartets and piano quintets with her friends and colleagues. Elizabeth's favorite works to perform include Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8, Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E flat Major, and Souvenir de Florence by Tchaikovsky. In 2019 she had the incredible experience of playing Reqs by Franghiz Ali-Zadeh in a masterclass with the Kronos Quartet as part of their Fifty for the Future project. Elizabeth also regularly performs in pit orchestras, with notable productions including Spring Awakening at Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia (viola) and Shrek the Musical at Belmont Theatre back home in York, Pennsylvania (violin). Most recently she played the viola in the Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre pit orchestra for Ragtime and The Sound of Music.
