Russian-American mezzo-soprano Elizaveta Agladze is currently a doctorate student at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music under the tutelage of Carlos Montané. A participant of the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition and a prize winner in the 2018 Dr. Luis Sigall International Voice Competition in Viña del Mar, Chile and in 2019 American International Czech and Slovak Competition, Elizaveta was most recently seen performing the role of Zelatrice in Suor Angelica at the IU Opera and Ballet Theatre and as a soloist with the Americas Chamber Orchestra. Her other performance credits include Mère Marie in Dialogues des Carmélites and Der Komponist in Ariadne auf Naxos with the IU Opera and Ballet Theatre, Angelina in La Cenerentola and Third Lady/Spirit in Die Zauberflöte with the Lyric Opera Studio of Weimar, Olga in Eugene Onegin with Hudson Lyric Opera Theatre, Zia Principessa in Suor Angelica with the New York Lyric Opera Theatre, and Lame Prostitute in OperaWorks Advanced Artist Program’s opera-pastiche Exposure. In addition to operatic roles, Elizaveta regularly performs as a recitalist in America and Russia, including such venues as the Russian Embassy in Washington, DC and the Silver Age Museum and Esenin Centre in Moscow. Elizaveta holds a bachelor's degree with majors in music and psychology from Emory University, a master's degree in organizational sciences from The George Washington University, and an M.M. degree in Vocal Performance from Indiana University.
