Award-winning soprano GAYLE RHODES is a native of Greenville, SC, and has sung in many productions and groups across the Southeastern US. She has garnered attention for her flexibility as a performer of both opera and musical theater. Highlights include: Susanna in Five Weddings and a Funeral (Scenes), Donna Elvira’s Maid/Chorus in Don Giovanni, The Wicked Stepmother in Roger & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, and Queen Aggravain in Once Upon a Mattress. Gayle is also known for her choral abilities, as well as knowledge and performances of Medieval religious music. She is a graduate of the prestigious South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, where she studied Vocal Performance. Gayle is currently a Vocal Performance major at Furman University and is a student of Bronwen Forbay.
