I’m an artist, creator, performer, choreographer, and leader. Dance is a way for me to express my feelings and my story when I struggle to find the right words to say aloud. I want my movement to invoke different raw emotions from the audience when shown. I want to be able to teach stories about Black and Brown history and dance history, bring joy, and help others remember their mark in the dance timeline. Culture, history, and family bring out such strong emotions that I use to fuel my creative thinking and choreographic process to then convey strong messages in my work. Pulling from what fuels me, I hope to help others make their mark in the dance world; with their own story.
