Tanushka Sisodiya is a South Asian soprano from Cumming, Georgia. She is a recent graduate of Mercer University, where she earned a double major in Music and Information Science & Technology, with a minor in Cybersecurity. She was recognized as both a Fabian Distinguished Music Scholar and a Jesse Mercer Scholar.
Tanushka is the winner of the 2023 Atlanta Opera Guild Undergraduate Competition and placed first as a recitalist in the Georgia NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) competitions in 2022, 2023, and 2024, as well as in the Southeastern Regional NATS competition in 2024. She also won first place in the Charleston International Music Spring Competition and was a semifinalist in the 2024 National NATS competition. She received the 2025 Excellence in Performance Award from Mercer University for her academic achievement and dedication to music excellence. She was also named a national semifinalist in the 2025 Classical Singer Vocal Competition.
Her operatic credits at Mercer University include the roles of Clarissa in Little Women: The Musical (Alan Knee), Sister Mary Leo in Nunsense: The Musical (Dan Goggin), Pernille in The Beautiful Bridegroom (Dan Shore), and Almirena in Rinaldo (George Frideric Handel). She performed the role of Malli in Jala Smriti (Water Memory) piano-vocal workshop by Kitty Brazelton and Vaibu Mohan as part of The Atlanta Opera’s 96-Hour Opera Project. She is scheduled to perform in the orchestral workshop and world premiere of the work next year.
