Emily Adams is a young dramatic coloratura soprano currently residing in Atlanta, GA. A versatile soprano with the ability to sustain the breath of lyric Mimì, the virtuosic madness of Lucia, the sensual misgivings of Alcina, and the downfall of Elisabetta: she prides herself in her pintpointed coloratura, smooth mid-voice, and passionate portrayals. She is renowned throughout the Atlanta Metro area for her Königin der Nacht and Lucia. Mrs. Adams is a voice teacher at humble Hawk Music Academy in Cumming, GA, whilst also pursing her freelance opera career and auditions.
2026 Engagements will be a Studio Artist with Sarasota Opera covering Leonora & Mimì in Il trovatore and La bohème. Most recently she could be seen with Capitol City Opera as Elisabetta (Roberto Devereux), and Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor), as well as her year-long Emerging and Studio Artist performances with St. Petersburg again as Lucia (cover) and Alcina (cover). In November 2024, Mrs. Adams was the recipient of the Encouragement Award from the Georgia Distriction portion of the Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition.
