Description: The successful applicant will work with the Managing Director and staff providing client/project representation support and executive assistant support as required. This person will work directly with a roster of artists, servicing their performance engagements with responsibilities including, but not limited to:

● Arranging logistics such as travel and housing,

● Issuing, redlining and processing contracts,

● Preparing itineraries for concert and recital engagements,

● Applying for work visas both domestically and abroad,

● Maintaining press materials, and

● Organizing financial information in conjunction with the Managing Director.

The Managerial Assistant will work together with a multitude of organizations both in the United States and abroad to facilitate contractual details, timely payments, immigration logistics, travel and housing accommodations, publicity, and international tax exemptions on behalf of the artists. The Managerial Assistant will maintain consistent communication with the artists and presenters to manage and implement pertinent details related to performance engagements. In addition to performing tasks such as expense reporting, travel arrangements, and administrative support for the Managing Director, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to attend many classical music concerts, grow their network within the classical music industry, and contribute to the success of Étude Arts.

Qualifications/Skills: The ideal candidate should be highly self-motivated and resourceful with a working knowledge of classical music and interest in arts management. We are looking for NYC-based individuals who are bright, organized, creative, and detail-oriented who possess a positive attitude and the ability to take direction and follow through on multiple projects simultaneously. Strong written and oral communication skills are vital, since much of the work with artists and presenters is managed through email and phone, and flexibility/reactivity to changing situations is crucial to success in this role. Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft, Google Suite and Mac are a must and fluency in computer systems and ‘problem solving’ is highly desirable. A bachelor’s degree (minimum) and experience in the music industry are a plus.

Salary: Competitive compensation and vacation.
