REPORTS TO: Manager of Website Content and Digital Experience

TERM: Winter 2025 - Winter 2026 (Minimum commitment of 12 months)

HOURS: 20-30 hours per week (In-Office; some hybrid work available)

The Digital Content Intern will gain hands-on experience in digital content, from research and strategy to development and publishing. Operating as a contributing team member, the intern will have the chance to learn and work closely with colleagues. A key focus of this role will be providing essential support for the migration to a new website content management system (CMS).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in ensuring website content is up-to-date and accurate.

Assist in maintaining the internal “website updates request form” and complete requests.

Crop and prepare photo assets for web use.

Proofread and occasionally write original copy for the website.

Build and format blog pages.

Tag and categorize blogs, photos, and videos in the CMS.

Identify and implement updates to copy and meta content, supporting accessibility best practices.

Assist the web team in migrating to a new content management system, including transferring and optimizing existing content.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Pursuing undergraduate studies in arts management or marketing related fields.

Interest in digital marketing and website content management.

Strong computer literacy, including familiarity with Google Workspace, experience with content management systems (e.g., Wix, WordPress), and proficiency in Photoshop or Canva. Basic HTML knowledge is a plus.

Must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Interest in opera or the arts.

A willingness to ask lots of questions.

WORK CONDITIONS:

Sitting for extended periods.

Ability to operate a computer and to handle other office equipment.

Ability to occasionally oversee evening or weekend functions, deployments, or performances.

Fast-paced and demanding environment.

COMPENSATION:

Job Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt Intern

Hourly Rate: $16.80 + Weekly $30 Travel Stipend
