Positions Available: Principal Clarinet, Clarinet 3/Bass Clarinet
Audition Date: Monday, February 3, 2025

Highly qualified applicants are invited to apply by Monday, January 13, 2025. Incomplete submissions or submissions received after the deadline will not be considered.

Applicants may audition for both positions, Principal and Clarinet 3/Bass Clarinet, which will be auditioned separately the same day. A refundable $50 deposit will be required of those invited to audition.

The California Symphony is a per service orchestra. The service rate for the 2025-26 season (2.5 hours) is $178. The minimum service guarantee for these positions are 20 and 10 services respectively.

Any candidate not deemed qualified will be informed of the committee’s decision, but will be permitted to continue the process and participate in the audition. The Audition Committee reserves the right to dismiss any candidate not meeting the highest professional standards at these auditions.
