TERM: Summer 2025
HOURS: 15-20 hours per week (In-Office)

As a Facilities Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the members of the Facilities department and contribute to the maintenance and operation of Lyric's historic building. This hands-on position is ideal for students pursuing a career in stationary engineering or related fields.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the Engineering and Facilities teams to learn about the Building Automation System and chiller control panel in Lyric’s historic Opera House.
Assist in special projects, including basic repairs, cleaning, organizing, and painting of mechanical rooms.
Support prep work for members of the facilities department.
Gain exposure to vendor negotiations and the day-to-day facility operations.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Eager to learn and highly motivated.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, or similar software.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Work will be conducted in engineering rooms, offices, and other facility areas.
Ability to lift and properly store items, including items up to 25 pounds.
COMPENSATION:
Job Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt Intern
Hourly Rate: $16.20 + Weekly $30 Travel Stipend
