Description
The Mary Pappert School of Music invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track position in voice (bass, baritone, or tenor preferred), beginning August 2025. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a variety of degrees and actively engaging in recruitment and outreach activities. Other opportunities for teaching courses may arise depending on successful candidate’s skillset and area of research and expertise. Other important factors may include, but are not limited to a record of active community engagement and a record of successful artistic activities such as public performances, recitals, master classes, adjudications, and collaborative music-making.

Qualifications
A master’s degree in the candidate’s field is required; a doctoral degree is preferred. Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential job functions. This includes commitment to the University’s values of diversity, equity and inclusion, and recognition of the importance of treating each individual with dignity and respect consistent with the University’s Mission. Additionally, applicants must have demonstrated experience with, and understanding of, the broad diversity of the University community (students, faculty, staff and others).

The Mary Pappert School of Music is educating the musical leaders of the twenty-first century through challenging music degree programs for the mind, heart, and spirit. Founded in 1926, it celebrated its 95th anniversary in 2021. The school is named in honor of Mary Pappert after a bequest from the Pappert family in 1999.
