Vocalist Audition Procedure:
Vocalists auditioning for U.S. Navy Fleet Bands will accompany themselves (on guitar, piano/keyboard, etc.), provide their own backing tracks, or sing a cappella. All applicants must register with the Auditions Supervisor prior to auditioning. Please e-mail NavyMusicAuditions@navy.mil to register.

- Your own copies of music/backing tracks.

Vocalists must perform a total of seven selections from the following six categories.
1. Power Ballad (one selection)
2. Current/Popular (one selection): perform any hit song from the last two years
3. Country/Bluegrass (one selection)
4. R&B/Funk/Soul (one selection)
5. Rock/Alternative (one selection)
6. Patriotic (two selections): must perform the U.S. National Anthem, The Star Spangled Banner (a
cappella in the key of Bb), and God Bless America.

Optional Categories

Vocalists may choose additional categories to display personal strengths but are required to sing in the
six categories listed above.
