2023-2024
The 2023-24 Season includes: CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA/PAGLIACCI, THE SOUND OF MUISIC, ROMEO ET JULIETTE (Gounod), and JOURNEY TO VALHALLA (Wagner's RING Highlights in Concert), plus several school programs and a new Family Opera Commission (TBA).

Program Information
Lyric Opera of Kansas City's Resident Artist Program began in the 2016-2017 season. This program is designed to bridge the gap between an artist’s education and professional career.

Resident Artists have the opportunity to sing Comprimario roles on the main stage as well as participate in Education, Marketing, and Development events to support the outreach of Lyric Opera of Kansas City. Masterclasses with guest artists, acting, movement and stage combat, and professional career development are just a few benefits of the program. The Resident Artist Coach-Accompanist also plays main stage rehearsals and keyboard parts with the Kansas City Symphony for main stage performances
Compensation
Payment is provided
Weekly Stipend of $600. A $500 relocation assistance reimbursement is available. Resident Artists must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the residency. Health Insurance is not provided.
