Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Venue Operations Manager will assist in managing the facilities operated by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. The Venue Operations Manager works closely with the entire Venue Operations team on the execution of events and communicates with external vendors and internal clients to ensure event requests, setups, cleaning, and facility maintenance needs are met at the highest level.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree is required. Position requires outstanding written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail. Candidate must be a proficient user of Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Previous work using VenueOps or a similar venue management software preferred. Previous work using Visio or a similar diagram software preferred. Fluency in Spanish is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces in the Hilbert Circle Theatre and other areas with or without accommodation. Must be able to lift/carry display products up to 30 pounds without assistance. Requires visual and hearing acuity to sit at a computer for several hours at a time and speak on the phone.
