About

Established in 1935, Brussels Philharmonic is a major Belgian orchestra based in Brussels and an institution of the Flemish Community. Looking back on a rich history, the orchestra continues to engage on new paths – musically, organizationally and in terms of content. Bringing symphonic music alive by performing it at the highest level and with unbridled passion is not only the orchestra’s task, but first and foremost its permanent driving force. The orchestra’s historic home port is the Flagey building in Brussels, the heart of Europe, where it rehearses and performs in Studio 4 – in acoustic terms one of the top concert halls in the world – and which serves as its home base for concerts in Belgium and the rest of the world.
