Founded in 2022, the International Pride Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that brings together LGBTQ+ musicians from around the world to present concerts, celebrate community, and raise funds for LGBTQ+ causes.
The International Pride Orchestra unites music making with global advocacy. We are a volunteer orchestra with a charitable mission to raise awareness and funds for local, national, and international LGBTQ+ programs. Each concert partners with an LGBTQ+ organization to provide an outlet for patrons and musicians to give. The International Pride Orchestra is proud to support LYRIC—one of the first and largest LGBTQQ youth centers in the United States. LYRIC’s mission is to build community and inspire positive social change through education enhancement, career trainings, health promotion, and leadership development with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQQ) youth, their families, and allies of all races, classes, genders, and abilities.
The International Pride Orchestra will make its debut performance on Thursday, June 22, 2023 in San Francisco—the heart of the gay rights movement. Its inaugural performance will take place during SF’s iconic Pride Weekend, offering an action packed weekend of rehearsals, social events and mixers, and performances.
