Bob’s introduction to the world of musical performance came at the age of 11, when his grandmother urged him to begin taking classical guitar lessons in his native Bronx, NY. Soon thereafter, he was also enrolled in music theory classes and learning to read music.
A passion was quickly born, and this lead to high school and college educations at the LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts and Mannes School of Music in New York City. It was during his time at the former institution that his obsession with vocal performance and repertoire began.
Instead of pursuing a path as a performer, Bob entered the business world and spent the next decade immersing himself in the field of marketing, taking on roles of increasing importance at various advertising agencies and paving the way for an eventual transition into the area of business management.
In 2001, Bob made his first foray into the world of artist representation under the name Octave Artist Management. Four years later, he transitioned back to the world of business management and ultimately started Agency Advance, a consultancy for digital marketing agencies, in 2015. In 2021, during the height of the COVID pandemic, Bob was swiftly moved to action after witnessing a number of artists who he greatly respected struggling to keep their lives as performing artists afloat amidst a total and complete shutdown of every viable performing opportunity. One of these artists, soprano Melody Moore, became the inspiration for Bob’s return to the artist management realm, and Quintana Artist Management was born.
Bob is absolutely thrilled to once again be working with incredibly gifted musical storytellers, leveraging his knowledge of voices and repertoire and combining it with his marketing and business management experience to create powerful professional relationships with arts presenters and artists alike worldwide.
