Suomen Säveltäjät ry (The Society of Finnish Composers) is a non-profit organisation whose members are composers in the field of concert music, or classical music. The purpose of the Society is to provide a community for its members located around the country, to safeguard and promote the artistic, professional and financial interests of composers, and to contribute to the creative musical arts in Finland.
The Society is actively involved in organisations related to its area of interest, publishes statements on current issues in cultural policy as required and seeks to promote the performing, recording and publishing of Finnish music. The Society organises training events for its members with experts from various fields.
