Alessandra is an actor, writer, director, fight choreographer and is continuing her work and training as an intimacy director. A Colorado native with roots in the East Coast, she’s currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has studied with the Globe Education Program in London, has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and has worked with industry professionals such as Barbara Houseman and Marcela Lorca. She considers herself an artist in many capacities and since graduating has spent much more time not just as a performer but as a director, writer, deviser, and producer as well. She has continued her work in stage combat, frequently assisting in choreography as she continues her certifications. Alessandra is passionate about the intersections of social justice and representation within theatre; she loves the classics and recognizes the need to engage with them critically. She feels strongly about creating spaces where actors and audiences alike can thrive, balancing the discomfort necessary for growth with an awareness of safety and boundaries. This passion has led her to Intimacy Direction, a role that mixes her passions for creativity and advocacy. She’s a graduate of the University of Minnesota/ Guthrie Theatre BFA Actor Training Program, a text based/classics focused program wherein she also had the opportunity to explore her passions for devised work, physical theatre, and engaging critically with classic works. When not working on and off stage, you can usually find her cooking/baking, enjoying the outdoors (especially the dogs), reading, and painting. She is represented by Moore Creative Talent and Wehmann Models & Talent in Minneapolis.
