Nathaniel Malkow
(He/Him) Nathaniel Malkow, baritone and Wisconsin native, performs regionally with New Orleans Opera and Opéra Louisiane, and holds a graduate assistantship with Louisiana State University. He was recently an emerging artist at the Seagle Festival in Schroon Lake, NY (summer 2022), and his role credits include Pandolfe (Cendrillon), Tommy McIntyre (Fellow Travelers), Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), and Orson (Orson Rehearsed).

Biography

Nathaniel Malkow

Baritone Nathaniel Malkow is a second-year master’s student at Louisiana State University and a native of Beloit, Wisconsin. His recent role credits include Pandolfe in Cendrillon, the title role Daron Hagen’s Orson Rehearsed, the Poet in Philip Glass’ Orphée, and Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, all with the Turner-Fischer Center for Opera at LSU. He has had several summer engagements, including the Kenosha Opera Festival in 2021, where he sang the Corporal in La fille du régiment and Songfest in summer of 2019, where he concertized with Lydia Brown, John Musto, and John Harbison. In summer 2022 he was an emerging artist at the Seagle Festival, where he performed the roles of Tommy McIntyre in Gregory Spears’ Fellow Travelers and Cornelius Hackl in Hello Dolly! This spring he’s slated to perform Count Carl-Magnus in A Little Night Music with LSU and an all-Italian recital with New Orleans Opera. Mr. Malkow is an alumnus of the Eastman School of Music, where he earned the Ornest Award for his performance accomplishments and a certificate in Arts Leadership. When he’s not singing, he enjoys rock climbing, yoga, hiking, and long road-bike rides.
