Abigail Rowland is multi-faceted trumpet player currently based in The Netherlands. She regularly plays with orchestras and chamber ensembles all over the country, appearing in productions with the Dutch National Ballet Orchestra, Noord Nederlands Orkest, Residentie Orkest, Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest, Nederlands Kamerorkest, and the Nederlands Radio Filharmonisch Orkest. As a contemporary artist, she appears in the recording of composer Martijn Padding’s bass flute concerto, recorded as part of the specialised Ensemble Academy at the Royal Conservatoire, The Hague. Abigail spent her childhood and early teen years in Hong Kong, but prior to moving to The Netherlands she spent seven years in the United States at the Interlochen Arts Academy and Lynn Conservatory in Florida where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She holds a Master's degree in Classicla Trumpet from the Royal Conservatoire, The Hague, where she she studied with Erwin ter Bogt and Gertjan Loot.
