Chloe Hyun, violin, is currently studying at the Eastman School of Music under the tutelage of Renée Jolles.
Since her solo debut with the Ambler Symphony, Chloe has pursued a career in performance, education, and community outreach. She has held numerous leadership positions in the music community, specializing in projects focused on activism and the ties between creating art alongside change. Most recently, she produced a project through NPR's "From the Top," combining new compositions with current global issues to bring awareness to communities within and outside the realm of music.
Chloe began her studies with Elizabeth Kaderabek at the age of six and continued her pre-college training under Kimberly Fisher. Over the years, she has performed in many masterclasses, most memorably for violinists Jennifer Koh, David Kim, Robert Chen, and others. As an alumna of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra Music Institute, the Center for Gifted Young Musicians, and the Settlement Music School, she spent her formative years immersed in a musically diverse environment. Chloe was also an artist in the Philadelphia Music Alliance for Youth, which was especially formative and sparked her ongoing dedication to promoting diversity within the classical music field, a topic she most recently addressed at the Context Conference 2025 in a talk titled "Resonate: The best harmony takes all of us."
Chloe has performed regionally and abroad, spending her summers at the Bowdoin International Music Festival, as a fellow at the National Orchestral Institute, and at the Zodiac Festival in the South of France. Outside of performing and personal projects, Chloe maintains a private studio, along with taking on other teaching engagements, including serving as a coach for PMEA'S festival orchestras and for the Youth Music Program (YMP) through the National Philharmonic.
