Jenna Montes, originally from Mason, Ohio, is an arts administrator and performer who is passionate about connecting communities with music. Jenna is currently serving as the Individual Giving Manager for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. She is also pursuing a Master’s in Arts Administration at Florida State University where she works as a marketing associate in the College of Music Office of Outreach and Engagement. Recently, she worked for the Bowdoin International Music Festival as the Community Concert Coordinator and spent eight beautiful weeks in coastal Maine.
She received her B.M. in Horn performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and developed a love for music at a young age through both concert and marching band. An advocate for underrepresented voices, Jenna co-founded the Jacobs School of Music DEI Student Task Force to enact changes within the music curriculum, culture, and representation. As an arts administrator and Latina, she hopes to bridge the gaps between communities and uplift diverse voices in the classical music industry. In her free time, Jenna enjoys photography, spending time with her cat Watson, traveling, painting, and listening to reggaetón and bachata.
