(they/them)
Alex’s music often centers the overlap between modes of communication, exploring ways that language can hold (and not hold) meaning. Their largest multidisciplinary work is the Ousu Doue/Ik-Ik Imi project, which is an ever-growing collection of music and poetry which overlap in non-literal ways. Alex has studied with Mark Janello and Judah Adashi, and at the University of Michigan has studied with Michael Daugherty, Kristin Kuster, Evan Chambers, and is currently studying with Roshanne Etezady.
