Serving as principal flute in both his high school orchestra and wind ensemble, Antonio is praised for his "bluebird and fairy-like tone." Throughout his high school career, he has performed with numerous prestigious honors groups, including the Wisconsin State Music Association Honors Band, the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Black Diaspora Symphony Orchestra, and the UW-Milwaukee Honors Band. As a soloist, Antonio has performed a variety of notable works, including J.J. Quantz's Flute Concerto and G.B. Pergolesi's Flute Concerto with the WBHS Orchestra, Arthur Honegger's Danse de la chèvre, G.P. Telemann's Piccolo Sonata in F Major, and Pinkzebra’s The Dreamer In Me as a flute accompanist. “Antonio was so easy to work with and had absolutely stunning tone—he really brought the whole piece together,” says Eryn Durlam, Jackson Elementary choir teacher. Recognized for his dedication and growth, Antonio was awarded “Most Improved in Band” in 2024. Beyond performing, he is passionate about music education, regularly volunteering with the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra and mentoring young flutists in his high school band program. Antonio plans to pursue a degree in Music Education and Flute Performance at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he has been awarded over $9,000 in scholarships.
