Artistic Bio
Cez is a soprano who holds a Master of Music in Voice Performance and Pedagogy (Mississippi College) and a Bachelor of Music in Voice-Cum Laude (University of Santo Tomas) degrees. Her most recent competitions were the Laffont Competitions (New Orleans district) and 2024 Southern Region NATS (2nd Place, Lower Advance treble voices). Her show credits include Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown), Der Schauspieldirekor (as Madame Goldentrill), The Magic Flute- a children’s opera (Queen of Night), Carmen (Frasquita), and Turandot (ensemble).
Graduate Studies and Life in Mississippi from Fall 2023-Spring 2025
While pursuing her masters at Mississippi College, Cez was a graduate assistant which has made her a staple in the the theatrical and sacred choral projects under the music department's resident opera and musical theatre company, LyricStage at MC and resident choral group, MC Singers. She was a student in the voice studios of Dr. Nicholas Perna (from Fall 2023-Spring 2024) and Dr. Viola Dacus (from Fall 2024-Spring 2025). On weekends she sang for the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Jackson, MS under their choral scholarship program.
Freelance Teaching Artist in New Jersey
Cez chose to start her OPT period (Optional Practical Training) in New Jersey which had her relocating to Jersey City, NJ after acquiring her degree. She currently teaches voice and piano at Music Steps (Jersey City, NJ) and Verdi Music Academy (Fairview, NJ), sings with the Fil-Am choir, "Filharmonix", and sings at the Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church on weekends as a chorister and substitute cantor. Cez now goes to the private voice studio of Dr. Lori McCann.
