Charlese Hawkins-Hatton is a writer, producer, and director living in Philadelphia. She holds three degrees, one being from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. In 2017, Charlese founded a production company named Prime Act Media whose focus is on creatives over the age of 40. The company’s first project, STAGES, won the 2019 CAMMY Inclusion award from PhillyCAM and was screened at two film festivals that same year. Charlese also produced and directed a talk show,"Better With Age", that covered topics relevant to the 50 plus community. In 2022, she directed a podcast, “Cognac & Poetry”, with three other artists, two of whom were aged 50-plus. Most recently, her hour-long tv show treatment, “Ethics Bureau”, won Best Treatment at the Script Awards LA. In between her filmmaking, Charlese runs a Geriatric Medicine practice, overseeing the daily office operations and creating programming for older adults in the community. Charlese truly enjoys working with older adult talent and looks forward to creating more opportunities for individuals in the second acts of their lives.
