Hi there! I am a voice teacher and award-winning performer who specializes in musical theater, cabaret, and pop/rock. As a teacher, I prioritize students having unique experiences on their theatrical journey. I believe in partnership with students and performance collaboraters to create a more diverse and inclusive work environment. My passion lies in creating art that connects and prioritizes story telling and emotional connection and nurturing confident performers who want to embrace their individuality and express themselves authentically with skills that allow for expressive, sustainable, and reliable performances.
As a musician and actor, I have had the honor to collaborate with artists both regionally and internationally — Dr. Brian Gill, John Astin, Dal Norris, Stan Tucker, William Wesbrooks, Michael Cordovana. I have performed with Grammy nominated classical Indian singer and songwriter, Chandrika Tandon, at the Kennedy Center and I was invited to sing at Carnegie Hall under the baton of esteemed composer John Rutter.
I have written, self-produced, and performed in numerous cabaret shows as well as being a two time winner of NYC’s Cabaret Showdown (a live gameshow-style cabaret competition that requires the singing chops of an America’s Got Talent contestant with the improvisational timing of Who’s Line is It Anyway). Additionally I have had the privilege to be invited to sing in various benefit performances, including a fundraising event for the Center for AIDS Research in New York City.
As a director, I have developed and staged scenes from published plays, musicals, and new works. I have directed full productions of the Baroque opera, La Calisto by Cavalli at the Peabody Conservatory, The Vagina Monologues, Christopher Durang’s The Actor’s Nightmare, and assisted directed Conrad Susa’s Transformations, at Baltimore Theater Project.
