Christopher Josin Chan holds a BM in Performance at the University of Toronto studying under Shauna Rolston and Joseph Johnson with a full-tuition scholarship. His awards include top prizes from the Canadian Music Competition and the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. He has given recitals at CBC’s Glenn Gould Studio, Weill Recital Hall and has also performed as a soloist with the Canadian Sinfonietta and the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra. A passionate chamber musician, Christopher has been a winner of the Felix Galimir Chamber Music Award, and has participated in Lyricafest, Orford, Domaine Forget, and was a fellow at the Colorado College Summer Music Festival. Throughout his university studies, Christopher has been mentored by the Gryphon Trio and, Alban Currently, Christopher is pursuing a Master of Music studying under Richard Aaron at the University of Michigan. Christopher performs on a David Wiebe cello loaned by Shauna Rolston.
