Julia Escobar is a flutist from Austin, Texas pursuing her Doctorate in Flute Performance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she also earned her Master’s degree. She studies with Dr. Jonathan Keeble. Julia’s undergraduate studies were at Texas State University with Dr. Adah Toland Jones. She recently served as the Teaching Assistant for the flute studio at Univ. of Illinois and also works with WILL-FM, the local classical music radio station.
